Cookies Policy

LAST UPDATED 15 JULY 2026

This Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, what we use them for on joincoveredclub.com, and how you can manage them. The Free Entry Route doesn't use cookies — it's postal.

Read this alongside our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy covers your personal data generally; this Policy focuses on cookies and equivalent technologies regulated by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR).

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file a website places on your device when you visit. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, improve performance, and give information to the site operator and others. We also use similar technologies including local storage, session storage, web beacons and pixels; in this Policy "cookies" covers all of these.

2. Our approach

We use as few cookies as we reasonably can. Our analytics provider (Plausible) is cookie-less by design.

3. The cookies we use

3.1 Strictly necessary cookies

Essential for the site to work. Under PECR we don't need your consent to set these.

  • Session and authentication cookies.
  • Security and anti-fraud cookies.
  • Load-balancing cookies.
  • Cookie-preference cookie (remembers your choice in our cookie banner).

3.2 Functional cookies (consent-based)

Set only if you consent through our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent any time using the cookie settings link in the site footer.

  • Preference cookies — remember non-essential preferences (e.g. a default Competition view).

We don't use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies or cross-site tracking cookies. We don't share cookie data with advertising networks. We don't use Google Analytics or any similar cookie-based analytics tool.

4. Third-party cookies

  • Acquired.com — may set cookies during checkout for fraud prevention and to keep the payment session going.
  • Sentry — may set a session cookie to link error reports to one browsing session; personal data is scrubbed.

Where any third-party cookie is non-essential, we'll only allow it after you consent.

5. Managing cookies

5.1 Our cookie banner

When you first visit, our banner asks for your consent to non-essential cookies. You can accept all, reject all (except strictly necessary), or customise. You can change your choice any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer.

5.2 Your browser

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the site working.

  • Chrome: support.google.com/chrome
  • Firefox: support.mozilla.org
  • Safari: support.apple.com
  • Edge: support.microsoft.com

5.3 Mobile devices

On iOS and Android, you can manage tracking permissions and reset advertising identifiers in your device settings.

6. Changes to this Cookies Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always on the site.
